Jaani Ki Kahaani LLC ("Jaani Ki Kahaani," "we," "us") respects your family's privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit jaanikikahaani.com, shop with us, download our free resources, or join our newsletter, and how we use it.

Information you give us. When you place an order, we collect your name, email, shipping and billing address, and phone number (if provided). When you sign up for our newsletter or download a free resource, we collect your name and email. When you contact us, we collect whatever you include in your message.
Payment information. Payments are processed securely by Square. We never see or store your full card number.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our site and service providers collect basic technical data such as your browser type, device, pages visited, and approximate location, using cookies and similar tools. This helps the site and shopping cart work and helps us understand what families find useful.
How we use your information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.
Who we share it with
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.

We use essential cookies to keep your cart and checkout working. We also use analytics cookies to understand how visitors use our site. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some shop features may not work without them.
Children's privacy
Our products and resources are made for children, but our website and shop are meant for parents, grandparents, and caregivers. We keep order records as long as needed for tax and accounting purposes (generally up to seven years). We keep newsletter information until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.

Refund & Returns Policy
Effective October 2026
We want every book, deck, and tote to arrive ready to be loved. If something isn't right, we'll make it right.
Returns
You may return unused items in their original condition and packaging within 7 days from the delivery date. Items that have been used in any way, such as a coloring book that has been colored in, can't be returned. To start a return, email hello@jaanikikahaani.com with your order number and the items you're returning. Please don't send items back without contacting us first.
Return shipping is paid by the customer unless the item arrived damaged or we made a mistake. We recommend a trackable shipping method; we can't refund items lost on the way back to us.
Items we can't accept back
Small-batch items and minor imperfections
Our totes and printed goods are made in small batches, so no two are exactly alike. Small variations in print placement, ink coverage, color, or stitching are normal and part of each item's character. These are not considered defects. If you'd still like to send an item back, it follows the regular 7-day return process above, with return shipping paid by you.
A flaw that affects how the item works or reads, such as a torn seam, a broken handle, or a misprint that makes text unreadable, counts as defective and is covered below.
Damaged, defective, or wrong items
If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, email hello@jaanikikahaani.com within 7 days of delivery with your order number and a photo. We'll send a replacement or issue a full refund, including shipping, at no cost to you. We may not need the item back.
Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your return, we'll email you. Approved refunds go back to your original payment method within 5–10 business days. Original shipping charges are non-refundable except for damaged or incorrect orders.
Pre-orders
You may cancel a pre-order for a full refund anytime before it ships. If the expected ship date changes, we'll email you with the new date, and you can choose to wait or cancel for a full refund.
Order cancellations
We can cancel an order for a full refund if you contact us before it ships. Once shipped, it follows the returns process above.

Shipping Policy

Every order is packed by hand in Maryland.
Processing time
In-stock orders are mailed out within 5–7 days of ordering. You'll get an email with tracking once your order ships. During holidays and Ramadan/Eid gifting season, processing may take a little longer. Delivery to Canada usually takes longer and may be held up in customs.
Where we ship
We ship to addresses in the United States and Canada only. Canadian customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, or import fees charged by Canada at delivery; these are not included in our prices or shipping rates.
Shipping rates
We charge flat-rate shipping, in U.S. dollars, based on your order total before tax:
Pre-orders
Pre-order items ship on or around the estimated date shown on the product page. If your order includes both pre-order and in-stock items, we'll ship everything together when the pre-order item is ready unless you ask us to split it. If the date changes, we'll email you.
Lost, stolen, or delayed packages
Please double-check your address at checkout; we can't be responsible for orders shipped to an incorrect address you provided. If tracking shows delivered but you can't find your package, check with neighbors and your local post office, then email hello@jaanikikahaani.com within 14 days. We'll help file a claim with the carrier. Packages confirmed lost in transit will be replaced or refunded.

- United States: $13.99 on orders under $50. Orders of $50 or more ship free.
- Canada: $30.00 on orders up to $150. Orders of $150 or more ship for $80.00.
